Giulio Vampa is a research scientist at the National Research Council of Canada, and part of the Joint Attosecond Science Laboratory (JASLab) between NRC and the University of Ottawa. He is a fellow of the Joint Center for Extreme Photonics (JCEP) and adjunct professor of physics at the University of Ottawa.
Giulio earned a PhD in Physics in 2016 at the University of Ottawa under the supervision of Paul Corkum, after which he broadened his research to encompass nanoscale applications of extreme photonics as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford PULSE Institute, advised by David Reis, until September 2020.
Giulio is member of The Optical Society (OSA) and the American Physical Society (APS). For OSA, he currently chairs the technical group on Short Wavelength Sources and Attosecond/High-field physics (OSAOH). His interests encompass the fundamentals and the applications of attosecond science in materials and nanostructured solids.
