Dr. Khabat Heshami obtained a PhD in physics from the University of Calgary in 2013. After a postdoc at the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology, he joined the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in September 2014 as a Research Associate. In 2017 he became a Research Officer at the theory and computation group in NRC. Since January 2018, Khabat is an adjunct professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Ottawa. Khabat’s interests cover photonic quantum information processing, development of quantum networks, and light-matter interfaces for linear and non-linear quantum optics.
